It's catchy theme song teaches about the amazing gray whale migration from the cold seas of Alaska to the warm lagoons of Baja, Mexico. March 31, 2008: The Sidney nest sits empty. The bald eagles have built a nest in another tree, about a mile away. The ground observers think one of two eggs have been laid in that nest. In the meaintime, many other birds nest in and round this tree. At sunset, they sing and settle in for the night.

My *very* first attempt at making/editing one of these film thingies. Please feel free to leave a comment, especially of the "be kind to the total noob" type, or constructive criticism. I used a Canon A320 digital camera, now sold :-( . I think the sound is surprising good, and of course, it's almost impossible to catch the little blighters in flight. Need something a bit heavier hitting, and more experience on my part. The upload has reduced some of the bird calls (Currawong) and brought others forward. Here's a peaceful little video of a baby song thrush, learning to preen his wings while sitting on the compost bin. Our back garden has become a baby bird daycare center while parents go off to find bugs. The babies don't seem to have any fear of people yet. At one point he loses his balance and almost falls in the bin.
